The 23rd Congress of the International Primatological Society is scheduled to take place in Japan on 12-18 September, 2010.
The congress is to be held at Kyoto University, Kyoto.
This congress will bring delegates into the historical city of Kyoto and also offers the opportunity to visit the long-term field
research sites of Japanese macaques that have provided much knowledge to primatology.

The theme of the conference will be 'Quest for Coexistence with Nonhuman Primates.' In line with IPS policy, the committee welcomes suggestions for symposia on any of the disciplines of primatology.
